St. Louis (January 17, 2012) - Amerinet Inc., a leading national healthcare solutions organization, announced its new web-based tool for acute care hospitals to access their Value-Based Purchasing scores. The
Amerinet Value-Based Purchasing Analyzer provides users with access to their hospital’s Clinical Process of Care and Patient Experience of Care performance – derived from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey (HCAHPS) – allowing them to measure themselves against the national thresholds and benchmarks, in addition to assessing the financial impact of these scores.
Starting fiscal year 2013, hospitals will either be rewarded or penalized for their performance on 12 Clinical Process of Care measures and eight Patient Experience of Care measures. The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will withhold approximately $850 million and then redistribute those funds as incentive payments.

The Amerinet Value-Based Purchasing Analyzer utilizes the most recent four quarters of Medicare/Medicaid inpatient discharge data available from CMS, as well as its linear calculation methodology, to capture the value-based purchasing scores.
