An Amerinet Success Story
Challenge
When Barbara Neal accepted the position of director of quality management at Cornerstone Hospital of Huntington she knew that The Joint Commission (TJC) survey was only 18 months away and it was critical for her facility to be fully prepared. “Many of the TJC educational seminars I researched cost between $199 to $350 for a 90-minute class,” said Neal. “With budgets shrinking every year, this was an expense I just couldn’t afford.”
Solution
Fortunately, Neal did not have to research long before finding an extremely cost-effective solution with Inquisit, Amerinet’s strategic education partner. “I completed Inquisit’s Joint Commission audio conference series and it only cost me $99 per class because Cornerstone Hospital is a member of Amerinet,” said Neal. A benefit to any of Inquisit’s audio conferences is that the fee cost is per connection. This enabled Neal to invite her co-workers, who would also benefit from this training, to a conference room so they could all listen to the program via speaker phone at no additional cost.
“Inquisit is worth the money – not just for the low cost, but more for the quality of content,” said Neal. “I was amazed by the speakers because they all possess knowledge applicable to today’s regulatory and compliance concerns and provided current information in an appropriate format.”
Outcome
At the end of each audio conference, Neal not only got the education she needed, but the Continuing Education (CE) credits she required. Affiliated with more than 25 accrediting agencies, many of Inquisit’s educational programs offer participants the opportunity to earn CE and Continuing Medical Education (CME). “Inquisit truly provided the best value for my educational dollars,” stated Neal. “I would not have had the positive accreditation experience during my first full survey without the support of information provided through Inquisit’s Joint Commission audio conference series. It helped me to understand, apply and monitor our hospital’s compliance with today’s most important issues and concerns.” As education coordinator at Cornerstone Hospital, Neal continues to utilize Inquisit for all of its program offerings so employees can access convenient, quality education.
