GS1 Standards

As valued business partners, Amerinet requests its suppliers comply with GS1 standards by doing the following:

  • Report contract sales with the GLN numbers shown on the Amerinet Roster documents, effective December 31, 2010.
  • Utilize GTINs for contracted commodities by December 31, 2012 – the GTIN sunrise date.
  • Register GTIN core attributes to the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) certified data pool by December 31, 2012.

Compliance with these deadlines will ensure that suppliers are well-positioned to meet other industry requirements such as the FDA’s requirements for Unique Device Identification, and for the California requirement for product serialization and ePedigree that is coming in 2015.
