Michael J. Farrell

Chief Executive Officer, Somerset Hospital Center for Health

Since 1980, Mike Farrell has been chief executive officer of Somerset Hospital. The hospital provides a full range of acute care hospital services including interventional cardiology, inpatient and outpatient behavioral and substance abuse services.

Most services are provided on the hospital main campus located in a four-block area in the downtown area of Somerset in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania. Farrell previously served the organization as the chief financial officer and chief operating officer.

Farrell received his master’s degree in business administration from Frostburg University and is a fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives. He is a member of the board of Amerinet, the board chair of Administrative Resources Inc. and a member of the board of the Hospital Association of Pennsylvania.​
