Edward Andersen is president and chief executive officer of CGH Medical Center, a progressive acute care facility located in the Rock River Valley region of Northern Illinois. While at CGH, he has also served as vice president and chief financial officer, coordinator of general services and coordinator of human resources.
Andersen is a current chairman of the board of the Sauk Valley Community College, finance chair of Wesley United Methodist Church, past president of Sterling Rotary Club, associate member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, president of Greater Sterling Development Corporation, treasurer of the Administrative Resources, Inc. board of directors and a member of the board of directors of Amerinet. In addition, he is a past board member and campaign chairperson of United Way.
Andersen holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, Iowa, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude, and a Master of Business Administration from Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois.
